Calculate Your GPA

Grade Point Averages are often used to determine your eligibility for college or university entrance, or for your standing on the honor roll, sports teams, Personal Best, and CJSF. To calculate your GPA, set up three columns. In the first, list your subjects. In the second, after your subject, write your letter grade. In the third column, record your points as follows:

A = 4
B = 3
C = 2
D = 1
F = 0

Add up the points of the third column, and divide the total by the number of subjects you listed. This will give you your GPA.

Example

  Subject Grade Points
1 English B 3
2 History A 4
3 Math C 2
4 Science B 3
5 PE C 2
6 Art A 4
    Total Points 18
    18 ÷ 6 = 3.0 GPA
