Computers & Yearbook
Computers (introduction & intermediate)
This class focuses on basic keyboarding proficiency, Microsoft Word, Excel, and PowerPoint during the first semester. Students will also learn how to perform simple Internet searches. During the second semester, this class continues studying Microsoft Word, Excel, Power Point, keyboarding and the Internet. Students will also work with a database application.
There are two levels offered of this course:
- Introduction to Computers: For students new to Stanford and/or working with computers
- Intermediate Computers: For students who passed Introduction to Computers with a Grade C or better or demonstration of proficiency in Introduction to Computer skills.
Advanced computers (web design & graphics)
This class in an introduction to web design. Students will learn html code, CSS, digital photography and vector-bases graphics.
Prerequisite: A grade of “B” or better in Intermediate Computers
Yearbook
Be a part of creating the Stanford yearbook!
The yearbook students are responsible for producing, marketing, and distributing the yearbook. This includes taking photographs, conducting interviews, attending various school events, designing and laying out pages, editing, and writing copy.
Prerequisite: should have good grades in Language Arts and have proficient computer skills.
